Roger Woodall, Director of Diamond Sports Events, a former rugby player, and founder of Bournemouth Sevens realised there was a unique opportunity in England to create a 2 day festival on par with World tournaments such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Wellington and Amsterdam. His goal was to make this annual festival the largest in Europe appealing to everyone from all ages.

In 2008 the inaugural festival was born and with 96 teams this festival became the Largest in Europe attracting over 12,000 fans in its first year. This Rugby/Music Festival is a whole weekend of entertainment, fancy dress, partying, rugby and drinking! This festival is a magnificent event and a highlight in everyones calendar whether you like rugby or just like to have some fun!

In addition, the World renowned band Electric Mayhem, performed live on the festival stage. This band really got the B7’s Arena rocking. B7’s is a truly exclusive experience, held at the suberb venue of Bournemouth Sports Club. It is transformed into the ultimate sporting arena with 65 acres of picturesque grounds and a capacity to cater for 20,000 people each day.

They are also very lucky to have their our own on site parking and a fully equipped camping village that holds 3000 people. The camping village comes with hot showers, food hall and our very own off licence. They welcome all families, friends, Rugby clubs, Hockey clubs, Netball clubs, Sports clubs, Universities and anyone who is up for a great weekend of fun whether you are 4 or 104 years old.

For the 2009 festival - they are pleased to have the company of special guests, Austin Healey (Strictly Come Dancing) England stars Lewis Moody, Olly Barkley plus numerous other International and Premiership rugby players.

We have entererd a team in the Sunday competition. You can camp all weekend or just come and be part of the fun on Sunday, although we really do expect a two day show from all on tour.
